So opening night of the NFL season is passed. Compared to last year their viewership was down by six million – a ten year low. This 9/11 opener honored everything but what it should in the public square. Notably missing was any mention of the first responders, of all ilks, that ran into the twin towers nineteen years ago. Notably missing was any mention of the four Benghazi heroes of eight years ago. Notably missing was any mention of the little elementary age children shot down by the lawless mobs roaming the streets of some of our major cities these past months.
This nation has ONE FLAG and ONE ANTHEM. Millions have died and been permanently maimed in defense of the Liberty our Founding Fathers gave to us. All Americans need to respect their sacrifice rather than dishonor it. The Patriot Pen is weary of self-proclaimed millionaire elites (professional athletics, Hollywood movie stars, and career progressive and socialist politicians) who got there on the shoulders of ordinary Americans thinking they can tell the vast majority of We the People how to live in and run our Constitutional Republic.
The Left is always spouting off that we live in a Democracy. Well, in a Democracy the majority rules. The Antifa and the Black Lives Matters micro-crowd is far from being a majority of Americans. So perhaps they should go home and allow the majority of Americans to live in peace.
The Patriot Pen also thinks that sports should be enjoyed and not politicized in this nation. The NFL should limit their public conversation to the weather and the NFL Stats. They should follow the time honored tradition and taboo of NOT talking about religion or politics by leaving it in the locker room.
Our Constitutional Republic is not perfect, but it is still the BEST nation in the world. If you do not think so and our Constitutional Republic is so repugnant to you, please exercise your freedom to leave and allow the rest of We the People to live with Law and Order and our unalienable rights to Life, Liberty and Property granted by God, the Creator, in tack. It is the majority of We the People’s desire to “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity” that were bequeathed to us by our Founding Fathers and patriotic ancestors.
