It was only when the Fabians brought to our shore in 1905 the ideals of atheistic Karl Marx and Frederick Engles, the ideals of the atheistic Communist Manifesto and Socialism, and infected Academia that we began our decline. Very slowly at first but throughout the Twentieth Century this process accelerated because “main-stream” Christian Americans were tolerant.
So what happened in 1905 that changed the dynamics of our Constitutional Republic? The universities became infected by the Fabians and they stopped teaching Adam Smith, John Locke, Frederick Bastiat, etc. in favor of “Marxist Socialist diatribe.” It took less than twenty years for these “ideals” to begin to infect the thinking of our political leaders. It was President Wilson who first began the process of referring to our Constitutional Republic as a “democracy,” in his World War I battle cry to “Make the world safe for democracy.” A slogan that should have been to “Make the world safe for Liberty.” In less than another twenty years it was FDR who embarked on destroying the self-reliance of We the People through “social-justice,” and when the Supreme Court struck down parts of his “New Deal” he set about to place Justices on the Supreme Court that would uphold his views.
But through all this our nation still acknowledged Almighty God and the Judeo-Christian principles which made our nation great. Through all this the Supreme Court held that our Constitutional Republic was a Christian nation. It was not until 1947 that the Supreme Court became infected with judicial “Seeds of Destruction.” It was then that MR. JUSTICE BLACK, without citing a single precedent, began the re-definition and transforming of our 327 year old Christian nation into an amoral nation with a state religion of atheistic secular-humanism. A process that reached its logical conclusion in 1973 with Roe v Wade and the legalization of abortion and the destruction of the unalienable right to “Life.” A decision that has brought about the genocide of some 60 Million unborn “children of God.”
The political “Seeds of Destruction” which began with FDR were followed by the plethora of social-justice programs which have engendered an “entitlement mentality” among a large segment of the populace. Programs which as Thomas Jefferson predicted, wastes “the labors of the people under the pretense of caring for them;” and, which effectively has already made that segment of the populace “slaves” of the Federal Government. These can be seen in the policies and programs of:
- The New Deal of Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd President [1933-1945]
- The Fair Deal of Harry S. Truman, 33rd President [1945 – 1953]
- The New Frontier of John F. Kennedy, 35th President [1961 – 1963]
- The Great Society of Lyndon B. Johnson, 36th President [1963-1969]
- Winning the Future of Barak H. Obama, 44th President [2009 -2017]
- The proposed outright socialist programs being touted by the Democratic candidates for President in 2020.
Generally speaking all of these federally administered social-justices programs violate the Tenth Amendment. These programs rightly belong to the several States as they have nothing to do with international affairs or inter-state commerce. The Founding Fathers stated it well in the Preamble to the Constitution. The Federal Government was to “provide for the common defense,” but it was ONLY to “promote the general Welfare.” To “promote” is to encourage. To “provide” is to accomplish.
There is a popular country and western song that says, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.” For 327 years our Constitutional Republic stood for our Judeo-Christian principles and heritage and we prospered into the greatest nation the world has ever known. Since that time, 1933, we have been sliding down a “slippery slope” because of “political correctness” and the removal of Almighty God from the public sector until now in the beginning of the Twenty-first Century we are on the brink of national suicide! It is my testimony to you that neither man nor a nation can get ahead by leaving God behind. I testify to you that our history as a nation supports this view. The evidence is clear that when We the People, as individuals and a nation, acknowledged God – WE AS A NATION PROSPERED. Since We the People, as a nation, have forgotten God – WE AS A NATION HAVE BEEN IN DECLINE!
Many of our citizens seem to have fallen prey to at least some of the cancer, the Progressive (Socialist) Ideology, infecting our Constitutional Republic. Many seem to have accepted the “revisionist history” developed by academia during the nineteenth century to change our Constitutional Republic into a Welfare Socialist State by denying the hand of God in our history. A “revisionist history” first taught in the universities, then in the public school system to re-educate the rising generations and make them “pliable” to the socialist lie.
Remember what Ben Franklin said in 1787, ”I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth that God Governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings, that except the Lord build the House they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better, than the Builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter from this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing Governments by Human wisdom and leave it to chance, war and conquest.” I, for one, concur with his sentiments.
So my fellow citizens, We the People, as a nation, can treat the symptoms of the malignant cancer infecting our Constitutional Republic or we can join with “Christian conservative” in treating the cancer itself. It may be that we need to apply a tourniquet to our $22.5 Trillion debt first, but that does NOTHING to cure our Constitutional Republic of the malignant cancer, the socialist-progressive philosophy, infecting us. The battle over the debt is but one battle in the war for Constitutional Restoration!
What do I mean by Constitutional Restoration? The only thing that will remove our national cancer is a return to the sound Constitutional government established by the Founding Fathers and bequeathed to us by our great-grandparents. A government that rose to greatness over 327 years by adherence to its foundation of Judeo-Christian principles and an acknowledgment that Almighty God rules in the lives of nations. Judeo-Christian principles and a God which our Founding Fathers acknowledged when they wrote our Constitution and used as the basis for its separation of powers “For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.” [Isaiah 33:22]
I, as a “Christian conservative,” choose to join the fight for Constitutional Restoration — to win the war.
I, as a “Christian conservative,” choose to go for the cure and to win the war through the removal of the malignant cancer infecting us as a nation – the cancer of the Socialist-Progressive Ideology.
I, as a “Christian conservative,” stand with Joshua of old who said, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
I, as a “Christian conservative,” choose to acknowledge the words of our National Hymn written for our Centennial celebration and their meaning:
God of our fathers, whose almighty hand

I, as a “Christian conservative,” choose to acknowledge the words of the third stanza of our National Anthem and their meaning:

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
