It was in January 1962 that I swore an oath that I would support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; and that I would bear true faith and allegiance to the same. So help me God. Nothing which has transpired in the ensuing fifty-eight years has relieved me of that oath. I feel as duty bound today as I did on the first day I swore it. My oath did not then and does not now have any expiration date.
Patriotism, the love of country, can only be viewed by both the heart and the mind of each citizen through the experiences of their own life. We the People are but twenty days away from yet another momentous election that will define the course of our great nation, our Constitutional Republic, for decades to come. The majority of those who will be casting their vote have never traveled much beyond their community or State. Many lack the maturity and wisdom that comes from the prism of age and experience. I mean no disrespect to their views nor is it my intent to be scurrilous as I present my view which is very opposite to theirs. It is the burden of my soul from my God that causes me to speak; therefore, I will speak freely for this is no time for an uncertain sound because the issue before We the People is nothing less than the question of freedom or slavery. If I were to remain silent, I would violate my oath and I fear that I will offend my God and hear from Him on the great judgement day the accusatory words, “But you knew and you said nothing!”
It is the year of our Lord Twenty Twenty and of the United States of America the Two Hundred Forty-four. The majority of our citizenry lives in some degree of affluence when compared to the rest of the world, yet at this time, We the People have seemingly lost our way. Where are the fervor and zeal of our Founding Fathers and those of our patriotic ancestors who established our Constitutional Republic as a bastion of Liberty? There must be some cause, some good reason, why our Founding Fathers and our patriotic ancestors were so eager for Liberty then, and now We the People are eager for the servitude (slavery) of Socialism. Are We the People so disposed to be numbered with those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not?
Our Founding Fathers were true Statesmen, whose only desire was for the good of our fledgling nation and the Liberty and Freedom of We the People. It is true they had loyalty to their several States, but they had no “Party” loyalties because political parties only emerged during the administration of President George Washington. He is the only President in our history not to belong to or have allegiance to a political party.
Today the Halls of Congress are largely filled with ego-centric, self-serving politicians who seek not for the good of our Constitutional Republic and the Liberty and Freedom of We the People but for power for themselves. How well the Democrat Party, et al, has conformed to “The Doctrine of the Democrats” as recorded in The Law by Frederic Bastiat:
What is the attitude of the democrat when political rights are under discussion? How does he regard the people when a legislator is to be chosen? Ah, then it is claimed that the people have an instinctive wisdom; they are gifted with the finest perception; their will is always right; the general will cannot err; voting cannot be too universal. When it is time to vote, apparently the voter is not to be asked for any guarantee of his wisdom. His will and capacity to choose wisely are taken for granted. Can the people be mistaken? Are we not living in an age of enlightenment? What! are the people always to be kept on leashes? Have they not won their rights by great effort and sacrifice? Have they not given ample proof of their intelligence and wisdom? Are they not adults? Are they not capable of judging for themselves? Do they not know what is best for themselves? Is there a class or a man who would be so bold as to set himself above the people, and judge and act for them? No, no, the people are and should be free. They desire to manage their own affairs, and they shall do so. But when the legislator is finally elected — ah! then indeed does the tone of his speech undergo a radical change. The people are returned to passiveness, inertness, and unconsciousness; the legislator enters into omnipotence. Now it is for him to initiate, to direct, to propel, and to organize. Mankind has only to submit; the hour of despotism has struck. We now observe this fatal idea: The people who, during the election, were so wise, so moral, and so perfect, now have no tendencies whatever; or if they have any, they are tendencies that lead downward into degradation.
Do you as a voter really understand what the overarching goal of the Democrat Party is? They want nothing less than the following:
- To retain power so that they and their minions can inflict more of their tyrannical socialist ideals onto We the People.
- To enslave We the People making more and more of us solely dependent on the federal government, destroying the “Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”
- To further grow the federal government making it the “ruler” rather than the “servant” of We the People.
- To destroy our national sovereignty in favor of global governance.
- To “Change” our Constitutional Republic in favor of a Welfare Socialist State, a socialist system of government that has never worked in any nation throughout the world in ALL recorded history.
They have used every crisis to inch their way stealthy toward obtaining their goal. They instituted so called “social-justice programs” over the past seventy-five years that have been more of a governmental hand out than a hand up. Programs with high sounding names “The New Deal” of Franklin D. Roosevelt (D 1933-1945), “The Fair Deal” of Harry S. Truman (D 1945-1953), “The New Frontier” of John F. Kennedy (D 1961-1963), “The Great Society” of Lyndon B. Johnson (D 1963-1969), “The New Covenant” of Bill Clinton (D 1993-2001), and “Winning the Future” of Barak H. Obama (D 2009-2017). You ask why? It is because a large segment of the recipients, usually minorities of race and class, who benefitted from their social-justice legislation lost any incentive to help themselves rise above their poverty. They became slaves to the Democrat Party on the federal government plantation. The social-justice legislation actually created in them an “entitlement mentality” or an attitude of “Why should I work to better myself if the federal government is going to keep me?” These same folks, those with an “entitlement mentality,” then voted to keep progressive and socialist politicians in power so that they would not lose their “golden egg” paid for by the redistribution of wealth of producers to non-producers. And the politicians, so elected, curry the favor of these folks to stay in office and retain their power rather than control the national debt and restrict the federal government to within Constitutional limits.
When the Obama – Biden ticket won in 2008, the Democrat Party could smell final victory. They passed legislation that “You have to pass the Bill before you can know what is in it.” They decried American exceptionalism. They created sanctuary cities and States. They did all that they could to destroy any semblance of nationalism and unity through the “Race Card” and “Class Warfare Card.” What Obama – Biden started during their eight years was to be completed by Clinton – Kaine ticket in 2016 and hopefully their second term in 2020. It was Hiliary’s assignment to complete what Obama – Biden had started — the transformation of our Constitutional Republic into a Welfare Socialist State. But along came President Donald Trump and stopped them dead in their tracks. This is why they hate him so much and for his entire presidency have tried to remove him from office. A process that was started before he was sworn in. It is the horseshoe he has thrown into their plans by not playing by their rules and the rules of the swamp. This is why they have refused to work with him or allow him to receive credit for anything that has helped our nation. Until now in 2020, when the Biden – Harris ticket says, “You have to elect us before you can find out what we will do.”
So We the People are to elect a “pig in the poke” unseen and with unanswered questions. Questions concerning packing the Supreme Court, the Second Amendment, removing the Senate filibuster, defunding the police, civil unrest and lawlessness in major cities, taxes, immigration, etc. all of which according to the Democrat Party history and their current platform are designed to transform our Constitutional Republic into a Welfare Socialist State under the control of Democratic elites who would become the rulers while We the People become their servants.
It should never be forgotten that our Constitutional Republic, was established originally as a “Union” of thirteen [now fifty] individual States. These States had their own individual governments with their own individual Constitutions. They came together in Union because there is strength in numbers. They came together in Union for their common good. They came together and over a period of 125 days they formed not a perfect but “a more perfect Union.” A Union where We the People are the “rulers” and our elected representatives are our “servants.” A Union that is the envy of all those who are in search of Freedom and Liberty.
I have only one way to judge the future. It is the lamp of experience and the past. And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the Democrat Party for more than one hundred years to justify the hopes of half the voters in our Constitutional Republic. I have lived in a socialist country and have no desire to be a citizen of one. We the People need to return to the past and the ideals of our Founding Fathers if we ever expect to have a future and “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”
To paraphrase Patrick Henry, There is no retreat from the struggle for Liberty, but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard in the Halls of Congress! We the People must on 3 November choose Liberty within our Constitutional Republic or slavery under Democratic control in a Welfare Socialist State. The struggle is actually begun in cities that have been controlled by Democrats for decades! Yet many of We the People stand or sit by idle and refuse to exercise their responsibilities of citizenship. And to quote his final remarks, “Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!”
